J Cole is a rising hip hop artist who has a style many can't come close too.  He is from my home state North Carolina and never ceases to captivate his fans.  J Cole was recently signed to Jay-Z's label and has a album set to release September 27, 2011 which is a must buy.  Here's his latest video daddy's little girl which is awesome because it has a lot of artistic expression throughout the video.

Macys Lecture

Recently I went to a lecture by Terry Lundgren who is the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Macys, Inc.  The lecture was interesting, he mentioned that he spends 30 minutes a week with the young executives and that he holds a breakfast club for people who just graduated college (after 2-3 weeks).  Macy's and Bloomingdales are basically the same company its just that Bloomingdales sales more high fashion items.  Terry Lundgren spoke on something that I was thinking about earlier regarding the Gap Company but he showed it by using data.

One thing I've been noticing is that Gap is not offering better quality clothing like they use too and I think it's hurting them a lot because they are only making up a extremely small percentage of the market (1%).  If Gap doesn't figure out a way to improve by innovating then they'll soon be out of the game.  During the questions segment of the lecture, one student spoke on the Tommy Hilfiger racist RUMOR that happened 8 years ago and Terry Lundgren ensured that it was completely FALSE; even Oprah brought Tommy Hilfiger on her show to squash that lie.  Its a shame that one person can ruin another person's reputation by making a false statement like in the case of Tommy Hilfiger.  Overall the lecture was great! Macy's is doing it BIG!!

Also the less we spend the worse our economy because spending in America is how our economy works to stay in the green.

Cassie on 106 and park

Cassie was a co-host on 106 and park for Freestyle Friday and I have to say that although I think Cassie is a pretty girl, the new hairstyle she has is not working for her.  Cassie was able to pull off the half shaved head but now having both sides shaved off is doing more damage to her look than good.  Other than her new hairstyle and the pushed up pants leg, Cassie looked good.

ANTM All Stars

America's Next Top Model season premiere was on Wednesday and it was a good episode especially because it was only models from past cycles so regular viewers instantly could recognize many of the girls.  I thought it was pretty innovative of Tyra to do an All Stars season; some of the girls in the competition is Bianca, Bre, Dominque, Camille, Kayla, Isis, Sheena, Lisa, Shannon, and Alexandria. The girls took photos and had their judging live in front of an audience. Tyra announced the prizes which are a lot more from the previous seasons.  Nigel Barker has on some hair piece that's not quite working out but from watching the live judging I couldn't help but notice how great Sheena looked in her outfit; she got many compliments. Also during the judging, Alexandria was booed and called the B word (b*tch) which was rude.
