Fifty Five DSL

I took a closer look at Diesel's new 55DSL Men's Line and noticed that the Line is offering more clothes other than t-shirts at affordable prices.  I was beginning to wonder why Diesel's main Diesel Men's Line prices were so high all of a sudden but now I think the reason is because Diesel is creating multiple lines at different price ranges like Armani has done.  To check out Fifty Five DSL clothing CLICK HERE.

Tanger Outlets

I recently checked out Tanger Outlets in Georgia and found that the place had some really good deals on designer apparel.  There are multiple stores there that have amazing markdowns. Ralph Lauren for instance had ties for half the original price and Tommy Hilfiger had very decent prices on their clearance rack.  The one store that I found had very nice clothing for LOW prices was Calvin Klein; most things in the store was marked 70% off. Some stores though did not have remarkable deals on their products such as Guess and Brooks Brothers; these stores prices were pretty much the same as going to the mall or online. As it relates to shoes, Nike has some pretty good prices on their footwear with discounts on even the sale prices.  Also, if you want an extra percentage off on what you're buying, you can most likely get some coupons from the Outlet service center by just filling out some information for promotionals.  I always heard that the outlet stores have bargain prices but I finally got a chance to see for myself and I recommend anyone to stop by one.

Bear Painting

This is a painting I did for one of my co-worker friends.  I gave it to her and she loved it! I decided to use a lot of purple in the painting as it is her favorite color.  I title this painting the Adventurous Little Bear; I designed the painting in a way that what grab peoples attention and allow them to use their imagination.

The popular trend for these colder months appears to be tops and outfits with leather sleeves. Gstar Raw, Ralph Lauren, and Armani Exchange designer clothing labels have all released products with similar distinct black leather sleeves. The new trend adds a top notch look that I recommend for anyone.

Marciano Men's Line

 

I noticed just recently from surfing the net that Marciano of Guess now has a Marciano clothing Line for Men that can be purchased online.  After taking a look at the Marciano Men's line, I came to the conclusion that the clothes looked very basic for such a high price on the products.  I prefer the edge and coolness of the Guess line as to the New Marciano Line. My only guess is that the prices for this line are more due to the type of material used to make the clothing. I wouldn't recommend this line to anyone who is looking to stand out of a crowd. JC Penny is the New Spot

Let's face it, we are in a recession that has lasted long enough but while it's here I can say that JC Penny is a great place to shop for casual and business wear.  JC Penny has reinvented itself yet again by changing the logo and keeping the prices affordable.  Not only are the clothes affordable but they're also very fashionable; you can easily find a nice outfit from their wide selection of fashion items.  Think about it, when's the last time you went in a JCP to shop for a new shirt or outfit? I urge anyone looking to save a bunch of money and have many clothes to wear for weeks to stop by  one of the companies nearby stores.

NY Fashion District

I recently went on a trip to New York to hang out and do some shopping for the first time.  Based on word of mouth from people I've come across over the years who are from the area of New York, I expected there to be many fashionably dressed people but once I got there, I found that in fact it turned out to be the opposite.  Many of the residents there dressed quite basic and quite a bit had no great style in my opinion at all.  I did though see a select group of people that had on some cool wear and accessories.  The downtown area had many places to do a lot of shopping that was both high end and affordable.  The places I suggest anyone traveling to the area check out for clothing are H&M, Century 21, Soho, A/X, Topman, Macys, and Guess.  Also, any clothes posted on online sites for your favorite designers is very likely to be at the stores in NY.  From my time there I can say that New York is one of the best places to shop because they have many stores with tons of items and all of the departments charge no tax below $100.  I can guarantee it won't be easy bringing back stuff in your original suitcases; it's that GOOD.

It's heating up this summer with high temperatures reaching the hundreds.  The popular colors to wear during the summer heat this year are yellow, mint green, & purple.  If you're thinking of going shopping now, remember to keep the popular seasonal colors this year in mind when purchasing a cute outfit for an added fashion sense.

JCPENNY going Rock Bottom??

Recently JCPenny is having significant financial issues ever since the company decided to sell their fashion products at a 40% discount year round.  Lay offs are now about to happen and this will most likely cause an increase in the already high unemployment rate the economy is experiencing.  Hopefully, JCPenny stakeholders can come up with an innovative idea that will have long term success to bounce back from the pitfall.

When going to work at a place of business , it can be challenging to find the appropriate outfit to wear to work that is also stylish; here are some guidelines I suggest anyone should follow for a professional appeal:

Men

1. Choose ties that have a unique pattern or color, it'll really catch a person's eye especially when wearing a suit.
2. Wear classic polos and dress shirts that each have a different detail if you have more than 1 shirt that's the same color
3. Always wear dress socks that either go with the color of the pants you're wearing or dress shoes
4. Study designer websites for the latest trends for the season

3. Overall just make sure you're coverd up enough so that it doesn't look like you're about to go partying at a club

The Solution to the Yellow

I often wondered and previously blogged about the dilemma of existing yellow stains on armpit areas of white shirts.  From research, I've found that the yellow stains come from the aluminum in the deodorant that we wear which accumulates over time.  The stains get worse if the shirts are washed in Clorox or placed in the dryer; the best way to prevent the yellow stains is to not wash the shirts in Clorox and instead of tumble drying clothes, air dry to prevent set in stains.

When it comes to removing yellow stains on white shirts:

1) Take baking powder and sprinkle some on a white cloth
2) Add a little water and rub on the yellow spots and let sit for an hour
3) After 30 minutes of the hour wait, put peroxide on the white cloth and rub on the spot(s) aswell.
4) after the hour is up, rinse the spot(s) off in cold water and let air dry

After the shirt(s) dry, yellow stains hould be gone.  Peroxide and baking soda is a great whitening agent for clothes.  In addition, 100% cotton white shirts are much easier to clean than other fabrics so remember to check types of fabric before purchasing future white shirts.

Zappos hacked!!??

In the news its been reported that the huge online shoe company Zappos was hacked into.  Millions of users addresses and credit card information was accessed so now Zappos has quickly taken action by notifying all users to change passwords because previous passwords are now inaccessible due to this threatening event.  Currently Zappos is investigating this situation and is also providing refunds for anyone who sees mysterious charges on their card regarding the incident.
